Q: What is the Heart of America Trucking Show?
A: The Heart of America Truck Show is a gathering of trucking professionals to celebrate OOIDA’s forty years of representation and advocacy on their behalf. All truckers, OOIDA members and non-members are encouraged to attend to enjoy the camaraderie and accomplishments of the largest trucking organization in the country. There will be exhibitors representing truck, trailer, engine, component and parts manufactures, as well as services catering to the heavy duty truck industry. Some of the events and happenings that are held in conjunction with the Heart of America Trucking Show are the Truck Beauty Competition, Educational Seminars sponsored by OOIDA, fun events, concerts, food and more.
Q: Who should attend the Heart of America Trucking Show?
A: Anyone who drives a truck is invited and welcome to attend, as well as other professions involved with heavy duty commercial vehicles within their businesses. That includes owner operators, for-hire trucking company management, company drivers, private fleets and all others aligned with the trucking industry.
Families are welcome!
Q: Where is the Heart of America Trucking Show?
A: The location for the 2013 Heart of America Truck Show is the Kansas Speedway, east of downtown Kansas City, MO, and right off of I-70.

Q: What is the weather like in Kansas City in October?
A: For the past 10 years, Kansas City has enjoyed lovely fall weather during the month of October. Average daytime temperatures for the past 10 years have been 65 degrees with evening temperatures at 47 degrees.
Q: How much will it cost to attend Heart of America Trucking Show?
A: All attendees must register for the event. For members and non-members, registration is free if done on-line by September 14, or with tickets that will be made available from the OOIDA offices and some of its partner companies. After September 14, you can still register on-line for a fee of $10 or purchase a ticket at the door for $10.
Q: How do I register or get tickets to the Heart of America Trucking Show?
A: Our on-line registration process is quick, simple, and free to until September 14. Go to http://miregistration.net/ooida2013/.
Q: How many can get in with each registration?
A: Every attendee must register individually for the show. Each registration will allow one badge to be printed on-site; the badge is good for both days of the show.
Q: Where do I pick up my badge?
A: Those Attendees that register by September 14 will have their badges available at the registration areas at the show. Those Attendees registering after September 14 will need to bring a print out of their registration confirmation email to exchange for a badge on-site.
Q: Is there overnight Truck Parking available?
A: Yes, there is free Truck Parking available at the Kansas Speedway in the main parking lots. Signs will direct you once you arrive. Those not wishing to park overnight will have separate lots to park in. For directions to the lot please follow the link below.

Q: What about passenger vehicles, motorcycles and RVs?
A: There is plenty of free parking space at the Kansas Speedway for those traveling by passenger vehicles too, as well as RV (self-contained) parking.
Q: Where can I find local hotels that are close to the Kansas Speedway?
A: Heart of America Trucking Show has partnered with local hotels for discounted rates during the event. All rooms are subject to availability. Room rates are good until September 17, 2013. Rooms booked after this date are based on current hotel rates.

Q: Are scooters available for rent?
A: Yes, scooters will be available for rent.
Q: Can I bring my pet to the Heart of America Trucking Show?
A: Unfortunately, pets are not permitted up in the main exhibit and track areas. However, pets are allowed in the parking areas of the Speedway grounds. We will have a pet oasis set up for your traveling companions and we will have competitions to see which pet/owner combination look most alike. Please note, owners are responsible for their pets at all times.
Q: What is around the Speedway?
A: The Legends shopping and entertainment area is directly across the street from the Speedway property, containing many restaurants, theaters and shops. The Hollywood Casino is also on the Kansas Speedway property directly next to the truck show venue. Sporting KC Stadium, the home of Kansas City’s professional soccer team is also on the Kansas Speedway grounds. The Speedway is also a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Kansas City with its large Power and Light District entertainment area, and other areas of interest in the greater Kansas City area.
